St Mary & St Paul Branch

Barnsley – Wakefield Diocese

Meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at St Paul’s Church, Oldtown commencing at 2.00 pm – see diary dates for speaker details.

Everyone welcome – open to non-members.

Corporate communion is held on the 1st Thursday each month at St Mary’s Church commencing at 10.00 am followed by refreshments in the vestry.

Current local projects include providing quilts and sheets and baby knitting for the Special Care Baby Unit at Barnsley General.  Supporting “ No Grub on a Grant” at Bretton Hall College for the students who gratefully accept tinned and dried produce at regular intervals throughout the year. 

Our diocesan projects involve:

• Mothers and babies at New Hall Prison, Wakefield;
• Visitors Centre at New Hall Prison 
• Away from it All – which helps hardship families to enjoy a seaside caravan holiday.
• Plus – on a national level - we donate some of our funds each year to Overseas Relief funds and a host of other funds directed from Mary Sumner House.

All members and their friends are welcome at any of our events throughout 2006
